Susan MacCaul Siegmund, M.A. is passionate about serving as an Executive “Think Partner” for entrepreneurial women. She loves collaborating with and guiding her clients along the path that she calls “conscious entrepreneuring.”
Susan comes to this purposeful work via a unique career journey that spans over 25 years and blends together extensive experience as a well-respected marketing executive, certified coach, consultant and entrepreneur.
Susan brings to her work a proven track record of executive leadership, marketing and entrepreneurial experience. Her coaching expertise and professional training combined with her career experience and entrepreneurial spirit make her an invaluable asset to her clients.
Susan’s work today as an Executive “Think Partner” is the perfect synthesis of all her combined experience as a coach and consultant and as an entrepreneur and leader in entrepreneurial roles.
Susan has been working as a certified coach with her own private practice since 2001. Her approach has been a blend of entrepreneurial, executive and transformational coaching and has emphasized conscious working and living.
Throughout her career, Susan has entrepreneured as an independent marketing and business consultant for a variety of clients including: solopreneurs, start-ups, partnerships, small businesses and large corporations. She has expertly guided clients through product development, business and process implementation, marketing and branding, strategic planning and technology mobilization. Susan has also worked to ensure that she is simultaneously developing her clients’ entrepreneurial competencies.
Susan began her entrepreneurial career at the age of 23 when she became an “accidental entrepreneur” following a corporate restructuring and downsizing. Her first entrepreneurial venture was the launch of a successful consulting and training firm in California. In that work, she leveraged her talent for techmobilizing clients with her passion for emerging technologies. That work led her to concurrently found a small publishing company that produced a critically acclaimed, regional sourcebook that sought to further mobilize the emerging technology marketplace.
Susan’s entrepreneurial experience allows her to be a valuable ally and asset to her entrepreneurial clients.
Experienced Leader in Entrepreneurial Roles
Susan has served as an executive leader in entrepreneurial roles in both marketing and talent and culture. She has held executive-level, global product marketing positions at both Adobe and Microsoft and has served as a Vice President of Talent and Culture for a leading cause marketing and social responsibility firm.
One of the hallmarks of Susan’s executive leadership style is her natural gift for coaching and developing team members, her colleagues and even her bosses. She has created work environments in which each individual was set up to authentically excel.
In addition to her leadership skills, Susan is a well-respected marketer, strategist and planner. Susan has always been adept at developing creative ideas and solutions that leverage effective marketing strategies and well-designed plans. In her executive capacity, Susan consistently led teams to successfully implement global solutions that exceeded all key customer and financial goals.
Susan’s executive path has provided her with the opportunity to learn and practice the art of consciously navigating organizational change and transition. She experienced process re-engineering, corporate restructuring and downsizing, corporate relocations and working internationally as an expat.
Susan’s first-hand knowledge of the needs, challenges and experiences that leaders in entrepreneurial roles face, provides tremendous benefit to her clients today.
Nonprofit Knowledge and Experience
Susan has a strong knowledge of the nonprofit world through her coaching work with nonprofit leaders, her work in social responsibility and cause marketing, and her experience as a volunteer leader with the Red Cross in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
This experience and knowledge combined with Susan’s passion for helping her clients to make a difference in the lives of others, has contributed to her ability to effectively serve as an Executive “Think Partner” for Nonprofit Leaders who are in entrepreneurial roles.
Susan has a Master’s Degree in Human Development, with an emphasis on women in midlife, from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Southern California in Communication Theory and Public Relations. She is a Certified Professional Coach and a graduate of the prestigious Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara.
Susan is an alumna of Women Unlimited LEAD, a yearlong leadership program for executive women, where she was honored with the “Peer Coach of The Year” award. She is a qualified facilitator for the Myers-Briggs (MBTI) and the Interstrength (TRI) Method of Self-Discovery and has completed dozens of hours of coursework in the Expressive Arts. Susan has been a member of the International Coach Federation since 2001.
Susan is a Certified Hudson Institute Coach.
Susan has been a member of ICF for the past decade.
